      I set this up years ago with a few choice NES and SNES games. Recently, I wanted to put a few games from other systems (Sega Genesis, Atari, Game Cube) on the Raspberry Pi 3 I own. However, when I load them onto my card (/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/megadrive) they are not appearing in my RetroPie when I run it. I can add NES games in a similar way (/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/nes). Similar problem with N64 games.

      Help?

        @2Skupz are you using a custom es_systems.cfg?

            Check if you have a file in \\retropie\configs\all\emulationstation named es_systems.cfg. If you do, then check if the /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/megadrive is listed as a ROM folder for the Megadrive/Genesis system.

              Accessing from the raspberry pi, I do not see one.

              configs/all/emulationstation has es_input.cfg, es_log.txt,es_setings.cfg, and es_temporarinput.cfg.

              Is this the right spot to look?

                Yes, it means you don't have a customized es_systems.cfg. What version of RetroPie do you have installed ? Just to check, make sure you have a Megadrive emulator installed (lr-picodrive/lr-genesis-plus-gx).

                  @mitu
                  4.2.16 It appears.

                  Going into RetroPie-Setup I do see, under Manage packages, manage main packages option 222 is lr-genesis-plus-gx. And it is not installed. Bingo!

                  My pi itself does not have wifi connection. Any tips on how I can install these from my computer (putting the SD card into an adapter obviously).

                    Without an internet connection, is not going to work.

                      But I assume a complete reinstall onto the SD card should do it?

                        Yes, the default image has the Megadrive/Genesis emulator installed and configured.
