Raspberry 4 HDMI resolution Problem

Hi,

I'm pretty new in the emulation word and even more in the raspberry one
here my setutup
Raspberry 4 B 4Go
viewsonic vx3276 1990 X 1080
power supply : already tried many
Build From : I ve tried with noobs, raspberry imager,

when it boot I pass the first rainbow, then raspberry it got an error message saying
lvl10: error creating dsl windows
could not initialize Egl
lvl10: renderer failed to initialize
lv10 windows failed to initialise

To be honest since I got this raspberry 4 its a lot of trouble for everything with this hdmi resolution problem

I only succeed to install raspian and it was a lot of fight to make it work

I ve tried to edit the config.txt with my setup of the rasbian which is working but nothing is happening
I ve tried do disable gl driver

Does somebody as an idea to how fix it ?

what is this?

assuming you mean rpi4, just use the rpi4 image provided: https://retropie.org.uk/download/

@dankcushions thank for your answer I. have only of course downloaded the image provided for the rpi4
as many users I have problem with the hdmi resolution
I have tried everything I found
raspi_config
edit the config.txt

nothing is working

what is this?

assuming you mean rpi4, just use the rpi4 image provided: https://retropie.org.uk/download/

4Go = 4 Gigabytes

Post your config.txt to see what is set there.

I suppose this is actually 1920x1080.

Yes it is 1920x1080 it was already a pain installing rasbian I had to install a lite version go to raspotify config change the resolution and install a desktop environnement

I have the same problem when I try to install Lakka, rétropie impossible to force the resolution to 1920x1080

I don’t know if it’s me but I didn’t have so much problems with raspberry 3

You're mentioning a resolution setting, but your error in the first post is from EmulationStation. Post your config.txt and the output from tvservice -m DMT.

Disabling the OpenGL driver is not supported and RetroPie (and the majority of the emulators) will not work without it.
