RetroPie Ubuntu with Steam Big Picture

I am having trouble with using Steam Big Picture.
I have added Steam Big Picture as a Console in EmulationStation as this guide suggests (https://github.com/Aloshi/EmulationStation/blob/master/SYSTEMS.md#Steam)
But anytime I quit a game, it dumps me to the console output of RetroPie instead of back into Big Picture.
