-
Here are 3 new overlays for your favorite system. This time the 3 games are old shoot'em up.
Gondomania (Data East):
Stratovox (Taito):
MagMax (Nichibutsu):
Enjoy ! Next week, three new overlays for your racing games.
Stay tuned. -
Do you like cars, or motorbikes ? Today there's new overlays for both. Let's see what we've got:
Chase H.Q. (Taito):
Enduro Racer (Sega):
Wec Le Mans 24 (Konami):
All are available for download here, or from my github repository. But, for an easy installation, use the rpie-art script tool from @meleu and select "nono6493 overlay repository".
The collection is now counting 130 overlays. That's more than what I was expecting when I started. But it's not finished. So stay tuned.

The left bottom part of this overlay is not as good as I would have liked. To enhance it, I am looking for an High resolution CPO scan. If someone have, please contact me, or post it on this forum. Thank you.
Before to propose you three new artworks, I have just posted an updated version of my Gunforce overlay. I have found the HD CPO that I was looking for. With it, the bottom left picture has been reworked for a better result. The snap on my previous post now shows the new version.

Here they are, the three new overlays of the week.
Today, none of the posted artworks comes from me. Even if I have my (small) part, I want to thank @udb23, AlexDC22, Krakerman, @Orionsangel (I like very much his console overlays), and many others for there works...
Varth: Operation Thunderstorm (Capcom):
A previous post from @udb23, 100% reworked from the original arcade flyer.Alpha Mission (SNK):
An overlay from AlexDC22, almost untouched except the logo and the borders to keep the collection's design.Scramble Spirits (Sega)
This game is almost unplayable on a raspberry pi 3b+. But on a PC or Odroid XU4, it's a very descent shoot'em up. The overlay was created by krakerman and inpired from the original cabinet's marquee.Next week, I will bring you more personnal artworks.
So stay tuned. -
Better late than never. This are the three new overlays of the week for your favorite retrogaming system. Three huge hits from my childhood.
Gauntlet (Atari):
Gauntlet II (Atari):
Super Pang (Mitchell):
As usual, those artworks are available now for download from here, from my github repository or directly installable on your system with the help of the rpie-art script tool from @meleu.
Next time, I will probably come with stuff for "Kawaii" games. So if you like them, stay tuned. -
Hi everyone. Huge delivery this week. I said that I will have stuff for "Kawaii" games. Is there anything on earth more kawaii than Bubble Bobble, NewZealand Story or Rainbow Island ? I don't think. So see what we've got.
Bubble Bobble II (Taito):
Bubble Bobble II is also known as Bubble Symphony. It was running on the Taito F3 system which had a "special" bezel. Here is a variation inspired by this bezel and this name.
You like this F3 bezel ? You would like to have one for the original "Bubble Bobble II" title ? Go to my github repository, and you will finf it.
Rainbow Island (Taito):
This overlay was created by Krakerman. I have slightly reworked it to make it looks like other overlays from this collection.
The NewZealand Story (Taito):
This game was also a F3 System game, so I have done the overlay with the F3 inspired bezel.
Only the first presented overlay of each game is available through the rpie-art script from @meleu. If you like more the other ones, downlaod them from here or from my repository and install them manually.
That's all for today. More stuff next week with some overlays for famous games.
So stay tuned. -
Here are the three new overlays of the week for Tiger Road, Heavy Barrel and Desert Assault.
Tiger Road (Capcom):
Desert Assault (Data East):
Heavy Barrel (Data East):
As usual, those artworks are available now for download from here, from my github repository or directly installable on your system with the help of the rpie-art script tool from @meleu .
Next time, I will probably come with some overlays for "Adventure" games. So if you like them, stay tuned. -
Hi all,
Just few words to tell that I will publish some new overlays very soon. I am sorry for this long pause. My regular job gives me more work than ever (I'm lucky), and I work on some new projects. But I am still continuing this one.
I will post new stuff in the next days. Thank you for your patience. -
@nono6493 Looking forward to the new overlays buddy, your work is highly appreciated! :)
-
The long awaited new overlays are here ! Awaited ? I think not by many people. But for who like them, here they are. Last time I have talked about "Adventure" games. The word was not very accurate. I think "Fantasy" is better. So, let's go for a little bit of fantasy :
Cadash (Taito):
Dragon Breed (Irem):
Rastan (Taito):
I don't know if I will choose a theme for next time. But I will try to post it soon. So stay tuned, and keep yourself safe.

@nono6493 I am very much looking forward to Season 3! I've just found your bezels for the first time and they are by far the best ones out there!
-
@tpr As much as I adore and appreciate this guys work, I doubt there will be a season 3. He hasn't been around here since may last year and as far as I know, there are no other way get in touch with him. However, he surely has made some amazing artworks for us, so I'll keep my fingers crossed that we hear from him again in the near future.

@brigane Can you suggest any other people who do similar style widescreen bezels? Just want to make sure I haven't missed any.
Contributions to the project are always appreciated, so if you would like to support us with a donation you can do so here.
