Amiberry exit emulator
-
Is there a way to exit the emulator.
I've just try to set/opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch.cfg
input_enable_hotkey_btn = "0"
input_exit_emulator_btn = "3"But this setting work fine for all emulators eccept the Amiberry
please Help me

@vincedj It's not a RetroArch emulator so that config file will have no bearing on it.

I believe the setting you're looking for can be found in the gui config menu under the input section. If it's not, then you can set in manually in whichever
.uae
config file you're using atopt/retropie/configs/amiga/amiberry/conf/
. Both the keyboard and joystick entries for exiting are:key_for_quit= button_for_quit=
A keycode lookup for this can be found here and the button number you wish to use can be discovered by using
jstest

I can confirm what @mediamogul said. But I think you need to use both settings. At least I have to open the gui first and from there the quit button works. Although a combination works. I've set my Guide button on my F710 to open the GUI and Guide+X to quit, so for me the GUI only appears very shortly.

This might be an issue related directly to the joystick mapping, but I currently have a keyboard key mapped that will exit back to Emulation Station immediately when pressed.

@mediamogul Maybe, but I'm fine with my setting because it's the same combination I've set for RetroArch to quit and I have easy access to the GUI. I just wanted to mention it because I wasn't sure if directly quiting worked for me when I was configuring AmiBerry, but since I wanted to replicate the RetroArch configuration anyway I might not have even tried it without having Open Gui mapped to my Guide button.

thanks to mediamogul tonight I try the solution that you have wrote.

@vincedj Hi, I have the same issue as you reported here - hotkey configured and working on most emulators to escape out, except for Amiga. I'm not sure I follow the suggested steps to resolve though. I can see two .uae config files in the amiberry conflict directly, but can't work out what values I have to set. Could you elaborate on what you did please? Many thanks, Steve
