      edited config.txt

      at the bottom, i wrote display_rotate=1

      was that correct? cause when i saved the edit. and rebooted, i get a blank screen

      some people may question why i have my screen in a vertical position but i personally like it this way. besides. if someone was making a hand held console, and had their screen upside down...well, this command should work, but for some reason, on retropie 4.6, new installation, it wont

        update: ssh wont let me boot into the system to remove the edit. connection keeps timing out.

          The Pi4 doesn't support display_rotate=1 or display_rotate=3. You should be able to change the config.txt from your PC - the boot partition is accessible from Windows.

            i know i can change it from my windows pc, what about lcd_rotate=1? or lcd something....if i miss spelt it. and if not, do you know when it will support it? i know retro-pie for pi 4 is in beta still, so i dont expect every feature to work right away

              @ravensm This is not something that's developed by RetroPie, but an upstream feature of the kernel/firmware - so it's not going to be supported unless Raspbian/RPF will add it (unlikely).
