      Hello guys,

Just few weeks ago I bought myself my first Pi - wanted to start from the Pi Zero and I love it.

...except that I have a problem with the Playstation controls that is driving me nuts for over a week now, I have literally spent over 10 hours trying to figure it out reading every possible resource that I can find and to no avail.

Pi Model or other hardware: Pi Zero
      Power Supply used: 2 A
RetroPie Version Used: Latest, downloaded it last week from the official website.
USB Devices connected: Just a 2in1 keyboard with a mousepad
      Controller used: Xbox One
      Error messages received: None
      Emulator: PCSX-REARMED

      Here it is:

I am using a Xbox One controller which serves me well with any other emulator except PCSX-REARMED. Since I can't use LR-PCSX-REARMED due to the hardware limitations of the Pi Zero I am trying desperately to configure the controls on the PCSX-REARMED.

Now, the issue that I am getting is very weird and upon google searching I found out just few people that had it before. This post here. No matter what I do, every time I try to configure the controls from the quick menu, the only reading the emulator gets is "/x00". I am unable to bind any other key regardless of what I press on the controller.

What I have tried the following:

      • Both analog and Standard mode

      • Reinstalling PCSX-REARMED

      • Manually edit the controls in the PCSX.CFG file - I was not sure how to do that so I tried copying control codes from an xbox 360 controller. Unsurprisingly, it didn't work

      • Tried both with BIOS and HLE. I know there shouldn't be a connection, but tried anyway.

      • Deleted the input file for the Retropie and remapped the controls in Emulation Station.

Your ideas will be greatly appreciated.

@Mailo is it a wired or wireless controller? If wireless try installing the xpadneo driver. See instructions here:

          @quicksilver

It's a wireless controller from an Xbox One.

Just tried that man, no difference. Unpaired the controller, installed it and re-paired it. No difference whatsoever. Just getting /X00 on everything.

          Anything else I can do?

@Mailo sorry man, that is the extent of my knowledge with the xbox one controller. That usually works for most xbox one issues.

Thanks anyways. It's really weird. You think there will be any good to try reinstalling Retropie?

@Mailo only other thing I can think of is using xboxdrv to make a custom mapping for pcsxrearmed. https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/Universal-Controller-Calibration-&-Mapping-Using-xboxdrv

It's not incredibly difficult to do but for someone just starting it may be a bit daunting.
