PSX bios wont work

A few Days ago, I got the bios from my ps classic, romw.bin and romjp.bin. I renamed romw.bin to scph101.bin and after trying it out, I stopped getting the error message saying Bios not found. Today, I tried metal gear solid with the bios, but it diddn't work. I tried a whole bunch of other games to but none of them worked. Am I not using the right Bios? Should I name romw.bin to Something else?

The BIOS should work, but what's the error that you get when starting the game ?
Can you check the checksum of the file against the list of the ones listed here and see if it matches ?
