Fresh install of Pi on Ubuntu 20. In Emulation station, I can use both sets of joysticks without any issue and everything works. When it comes to playing games, I can only use the right side of the cabinet. Also if I use one or more coins, the system things that when I hit the start button, it's a 2 player game. 2 player games use the same joysticks.

      Joystick Setup:
Easyget with Reyann Zero boards (new board that is black and has the USB Barrell)

      Computer setup
      Dell Optiplex 3040M i3 3.4 with 4GB ram and 1TB Hard disk

I can be an any emulator and the results are the same. Any idea where to begin and figure this one out?

And for a kicker, the system works correctly on another dell (Laptop i3 1.7GHZ)

Also, I forgot to say (Apologies) that the insert coin and start only work on the left hand (Player one) side of the board.

I have blanked out all the controller configurations and I still get this issue.

If this is a repeat of an issue, I really am sorry, but I didn't know where to begin to start searching. I tried joystick config issues, I tried swapping controls, etc. and I couldn't find anything.

        Thanks to all in advance.

OK.. I fixed the issue, but this is a little odd.
Apparently, Controller 1 (Player 1) has to be in USB1 on these 3040's, Controller 2 (Player 2) in USB2, etc, etc.
Is this a unique situation for the 3040 or is this a universally known fact in RetroPie land? If it is, then I apologize for not doing more research.

This may just me being a little more Windows oriented than Linux oriented, but does it really matter which slot the controllers are plugged into? I'd think that the programming of the controllers would follow the unique ID and not care about the USB Slot at all.

          Thoughts?
