Hi I have bought 2 joysticks and buttons sets online and before I set them up I was wondering how do I assign the left and right trigger, d-pad, thumb stick buttons and shoulder buttons and also hot key? Thank you for your help and guidance for all my stupid questions it’s been a massive help.

Simply put, you invoke the Controller Configuration and set up all of those buttons. If that doesn't work, tell us the details.

Thank you I didn’t realise you could hold a button to skip them. I’m guessing I won’t be able to play games that have triggers and shoulder buttons.

@NurseAngela Depending on the system(s) you want to play, that may me a problem or not.

If you want to play many games that use those buttions, you should consider buying an appropriate controller anyway.
