      Hi

Forgive my ignorance, I'm new at this. My partner is really into Dancing games but finding working PS1 /2 dance mats and games these days is very difficult I wondered if a standard USB dance mat usually used on a PC would be compatible as a controller for the PSX emulator or the RetroPie in general and whether anyone has had previous experience with them and could recommend one.

      Regards

      Xionic

@Xionic should work fine. If it is a 6 button mat you need to make sure you map the 2 extra buttons to the correct buttons based on a snes controller layout like all your other controllers.

          I've bought this one : http://www.futuremax.eu/nl/impact-soft-dancemat-pc-usb-dansmat-van-positive.html
Tried it using my pi (model 3) and retropie 4.0. ES immediately recognized it and after configuring the button's , it worked like a charm on DDR and DDR Konamix on the psx emulator.

I haven't noticed any delay and the inputs work nicely

          Happy Dancin'
