Hi folks. I tried to place an overlay over an old 1980's arcade ROM. The ROM video until I started working on things stayed in the middle of the screen, with plenty of black space on the sides for the arcade cabinet overlay. When I added the overlay, part of the overlay overlapped the screen itself. I went into the quick menu itself and turned off the overlay, and now the video for the ROM itself takes up the entire screen. I am trying to fix the proportions of the video so it goes back to having black stripes on the side and video in the middle of the monitor. I don't see options to do this in the quick menu. Any suggestions on returning the video to its old proportions? Thanks in advance.

      Regards,

      David

It's not in Quick menu, You have to go back, Settings/Video/Scaling. And be aware of how you override your config. I had a hard time to understand how saving config exactly works in retroarch.

@DavidDraper the setting you're looking for is aspect ratio, and you want it set to the default of 'core provided'. it's in the video settings.

however, i would caution against setting things via retroarch unless you know exactly what you're doing.
