      Hi everyone!

I'm looking to play a game from any of these consoles but I intend to play something different from Mario, Zelda, etc. Since I recently completed The Minish Cap and Super Mario Bros 3, and I want to play something different, but I don't really know what, so I'm open to anything.

      Thanks in advance

The Metroid options for either system are pretty amazing.

If you want to play a turn-based RPG Chrono Trigger or EarthBound on the SNES and Golden Sun on the GBA are also phenomenal titles.

          As far as GBA:

I second the recommendation of Metroid Fusion. (I'm not such a fan of the Zero Mission remake.)

          Something different?

If you really want something different to play you should try Mr. Pants, it's a hidden Rare puzzle game and very addictive.

              For the SNES:

If you like run and gun style action, try Contra 3.

I'm not into the typical shmups too much, but Gradius 3 was a lot of fun for me. Horizontal shoot em up with weapon upgrade options using a sort of menu on screen.

The Fireman on SNES is a pretty neat game and rather different. It only saw release in Japan and Europe.

I really dug the GBA puzzle game Mario vs. Donkey Kong (2004).

for snes i reccomend the following games all ARPG's

                          Soul Blazer
                          Illusion of Gaia/Time
                          Terranigma

terranigma's one of those overlooked games for a majority of people as it only got a jap and pal release us folks missed out back in the day one of the few times us pal folks didnt miss out

                            @AdamBeGood I couldn't agree more. :p
From this list, I'll recommend "something different to Mario and Zelda games" and some less known titles:

                            • Zombies Ate My Neighbors
                            • Demon's Crest
                            • Magical Pop'n (but you need an English patch)
                            • Super Turrican 2
                            • Sutte Hakkun (again, English patch)

If you are interested in Romhacks and Mods, there are ton of good stuff too.

                              For GBA :

                              Alien Hominid
                              Comix Zone
Kingdom Hearts - Chain of Memories

                              For Snes:

                              Cybernator
                              Robotrek
                              True Lies

My English isn't at a good level.

Another vote for Metroid - specifically Super Metroid for the SNES, which I finally tried recently after 25 years of it apparently having been missing from my life... one of the Warioland games for GBA is pretty good too (possibly 4?)
I did find Barbie Horse Adventures for the GBA quite frustrating though, probably best avoided. Damn horse wouldn't do anything it was told to.

@TedMaul About Wario Land, I played 1 and 2 and the second game is brilliant and by far better. Its a really good top notch Nintendo quality game, which should say a lot (Quality of Seal 👌🏻). Can't say much about the other parts, as I didn't play them. From my brief experience the third one seems to be good too.
