Ghosting Images on Atari2600

Hello All, I am new to all this so I am attempting to read and research as much as I can. One topic that I could not find was an issue I am having with Atari 2600 Games. For example I am going to use three games that I have noticed this issue with and that is Frogger, Missile Command and Space Invaders. It seems that during the game some of the images seem to disappear or they are "ghosting" I will be playing the game and Frogger will either disappear of the screen for a few seconds. In the case of Space Invaders there will be a missile coming at me from one of the aliens and I will never see it until it hits me and I am dead. Same with Missile Command. Has anyone else had any experiences like this and is there any fix you employed to remedy the issue? Thank you ahead of time for any help you can provide :)
