Possible to exclude specific emulator when updating all binaries from RetroPie-Setup?

I'd like to run a full update from RetroPie-Setup, but I don't want PPSSPP to update due to an ongoing issue. Is there any way to prevent one specific emulator from updating when running a full update?

No, it's not supported right now. You can just back-up the ppsspp emulator (/opt/retropie/emulators/ppsspp) before update and restore it afterwards.

Just curious but what's the PPSSPP issue you're trying to avoid?

(Don't bother reading any further than the first post, the rest of the thread is myself and the author of the emulator trying to figure out how to get RetroPie to download a specific commit of PPSSPP that isn't a versioned commit and eventually giving up. There hasn't been any progress made on the problem itself.)

To sum it up, at some point something was changed in PPSSPP that caused a fairly significant performance drop on RPi 4. The problem isn't present in the most recent versioned release (1.10.3), so I'm staying on that version until it's fixed.

(Actually, if you wouldn't mind and are on the most recent PPSSPP binary, I'd appreciate it if you could test Tekken 6 and tell me if you have the same issue I did.)

You could rename the folder /opt/retropie/emulators/ppssppto something else and then modify the /opt/retropie/configs/psp/emulators.cfg and make a new entry for your copy. Retropie will ignore it then and won't touch it.
