Scummvm doesn't show
-
Running updated 4.0.0 retropie
Installed Scummvm from source, placed 3 games (to test) in the scummvm folder
rebooted, but nothing shows up. -
-
Yeah, i followed that when I installed Scummvm, but the +launch doesn't show up.
It's there in the folder, next to my roms, i can see it. but it doesn't show up in Emulationstation.I remember from a previous build that I ran, i think 3.7, that's the +launch would show even if no roms where present. I could launch the GUI. But now it's just not there.

Sorry you'll need someone more knowledgeable than me. But I'd start be reinstalling scummvm
-
@Ekstreme I did already. Removed Scummvm and reinstalled from binary instead. No difference :(
-
I there a way to invoke the contents of
+Start Scummvm.sh
from the CLI maybe?
I really don't know what else to do. -
please post the output of this (in the terminal over ssh)
cat /opt/retropie/configs/all/emulationstation/es_settings.cfg grep -B2 -A8 "<name>scummvm" /etc/emulationstation/es_systems.cfg ls -l ~/RetroPie/roms/scummvm/
-
@BuZz I was just browsing the forums for generic 'emulator doesn't show up' posts and found this one from 2 months ago.
There you mentionedare you aware any es_systems.cfg in /home/pi/.emulationstation will override the retropie-setup generated /etc/emulationstation/es_systems.cfg
I just went to look there and indeed there was a es_systems.cfg which didn't have an entry for Scummvm inside. I deleted it, rebooted and now it shows up fine.
-
I had this problem with residualvm. Why aren't they included in the es_systems.cfg in /home/pi ?
-
There is no es_systems.cfg in
/home/pi
or/home/pi/.emulationstation
unless you made one. RetroPie-Setup updates/etc/emulationstation/es_systems.cfg
- if you want to customise it, you should copy it to/home/pi/.emulationstation
but you will then be responsible for keeping it up to date. -
Ah yes it's been a while since I did that. I'm assuming I copied it from /etc/emulationstation/es_systems.cfg so are the sections for scummvm and residualvm added after installation with RP script?
-
yes.
/etc/emulationstation/es_systems.cfg
is managed automatically when adding / removing packages.
