      Hi people!
I have one question about Neo Geo CD System.
What is the official name of this system in the rom folder?
Actually this system is beginning of stand like an indidividual system with his own directory in rom folder, but I have seen like a "neogeocd" or "neocd". What is his most acepted name?

I'am think to put my backups of neo geo cd in .chd to his own system adding this to es_system.cfg.

You think that could be any problem to do this thing?

      I hope some answers.

      Thank you!

      PD: excuse my english!

It doesn't really matter which name you give the directory so long as it matches the es_systems.cfg.
In your cfg file, put neocdz in 'theme' to match most themes.

I hope that answers your question!

I am really confused on this matter..
It would be good a debate on the correct name providing evidence or that the developers of the retropie team and the themes take the matter, to have a common front

@kactius just go with neogeocd with everything, it will work the same.

Most themes don't support Neo Geo CD in my experience anyway.

                  Check in your folder
                  etc
                  emulationstation
                  themes
in the folder in the theme
example i have it as -
                  neocdz theme
but i still use only the
                  neogeo theme
                  its enough for me:)

Yeah! is correct in neogeo folder work, the original es_system.cfg support chd format.
I find folders in different themes neocd, neogeocd, neogeo_cd, neocdz ,
If i wanted to add it as a separate system, I can't see a correct pattern or naming conventions

@kactius Then just change the theme entry according to the theme you're using.

@nj180grados It does not matter, just check what name your theme uses for that system.

@shavecat sounds to me like either you have the wrong bios or you didn't put them in the right place.

@shavecat I'm not sure what any of this means, but you should have another bios file named neocd.zip on top of neocdz.zip

@shavecat Did you follow the guide in the Neo Geo CD for dummies Thread? That's the one I followed and I had no issue.
