Don't know how to get jzintv or freeintv working
-
@goldengalaxies Do you have the required bios for lr-freeintv in the Retropie BIOS folder? You need exec.bin, grom.bin. From the Retropie documents, "lr-freeintv does not currently support Entertainment Computer System (ECS) and Intellivoice functionality." Maybe your roms are ECS, or require Intellivoice?

I did have those files in my bios folder and would see Intellivision show up but the roms did not work. I had Franken, Donkey Kong, Pac-Man, 4tris, and a couple others. That was on freeintv. I'm unable to get jzintv installed from source and don't know how else to do it. Someone suggested a new raspberry pi image. Would that be a good idea?

@libation that's not his issue. His issue is in the video. Looks like the download dies out halfway, or seems to be corrupt
I've never seen the message he's getting.

@goldengalaxies hiya...see.. here I am..lol.
Post the version of Retropie you downloaded. I'm wondering if the new version is having an issue with JzIntv. The error your getting has nothing to do with running ROMs. If you don't have EXEC or GROM, it will just dump out back to the game list like any other emulator does.
Your error looks like a corrupt download. Try "clearing the source folder" in the download options and try downloading again.

@jamrom2 I lost everything on that sd card because I reformatted it and now the raspberry pi isn't working at all. I tried 2 sd cards and downloaded a new image but in this video I get another error. I really appreciate the help and let me know if you find a solution but for now I need to take a break. I've been trying this for 2 days.

@goldengalaxies At the beginning of your video when you launch RetroPie-Setup there's a message saying your OS is no longer supported. You should start from a fresh image.

@goldengalaxies Looks like Etcher doesn't have permission to write to the card. Did etcher ask for a password or permissions ? you could try running it as an Administrator. I've not used Etcher myself on windows.
-
@buzz I formatted my sd card and will try to get this fresh image working. Thanks.

@buzz it did not ask for a password but I didn't do that when I first got this 3 years ago. I'm not sure how to run it as an administrator but someone sent me instructions on how to get it working which I tried. I unzipped the image to make it a disk image file and used win 32disk imager. I put the card in the raspberry pi but nothing seems to be happening.
-
I've tried everything. I put the raspberry pi image on an sd card then put it in the unit and nothing happens.
-
I got it to work by using the other image pi4.
