The message about usbmount@dev-sda is benign and can be ignored. Not sure why you'd use fdisk to grant permissions though, it shouldn't be needed if all you want is to copy files from the USB to the SD card.

How are you trying to transfer ROMs ? Have you looked at the Transferring ROMs page ?

@mitu I wasn't using fdisk to grant permission. I was using to see if it was mounted and it said permission denied. And yes I have viewed the page for transferring roms it wasn't working

Use mount to see if the partition on your USB has been mounted, fdisk will only list the partitions on the disc.

@mitu sorry, it seems as if I was wrong. Today I tried to do it by Wi-Fi and found the roms are there. Which makes wonder why are they showing? I know depending on how it's set up but by default it should show game systems for the roms but none of that is showing.

Care to be more specific ? Each system has a list of supported file extensions, so if the ROM files are correctly named and you restart EmulationStation, they should show up in the game list.

@oldgamepie What are the extensions of the atari and nes roms? What emulators are you using for atari and nes?

@oldgamepie Look into the file /etc/emulationstation/es_systems.cfg and see if .nes and .bin extensions are listed among the Nintendo Entertainment System and Atari 2600 extensions.

Check EmulationStation's settings, under Other, and see if you have Parse Gamelists Only turned on. If you do, then turn it off and then restart EmulationStation.

Hm, that's weird - by default that option is off, did you turn it on yourself ?
