Pi400 and video in retropi/raspian problem

When i turn on my 400 boot up (the only image on my sd card, no noobs or dual boot just boots straight to retropi) retropi open raspian/the pixel environment from the port list when watching videos i.e. youtube, pluto tv or the like if the video is windowed as soon as the title, slide bar, and mouse go away the video stops but continues playing the audio. If i move the mouse so it reappears the video syncs perfectly and continues playing. This will not happen full screen only when windowed?¿? Just wondering if anyone else has this problem and if there is a fix. Please let me know thank you everyone in advance.
