Games from external sd card?

Hello I know this has been answered many times. I’m a little confused my self. What are the steps on putting games into a external as card? I have over 50 ps1 cd games and I’m learning how to convert them to play on retro pie but I do not know the way to use a external as card. Can some one please help me?

The OS is on the SD card...so you're using two? I'm sure something helpful is in the docs.

@iandaemon hello thank you for the reply back. What I mean is running the games from a second drive. Such as a flash drive of some kind.

@iandaemon That is not your fault. That was mine sorry about that. I'm 41 years old and my eyes are not like they use to be. Close enough to be getting glasses soon i was told :( Thank you for making the links better for my eyes.

@iandaemon Not to get off topic. But I have arthritis in both my knees and left should, Both of my hands. I need my left knee replaced. And I have spine problems I need to get some surgery on it. Worked all my life sense I was 10 and now my body is feeling it. Half of my life a truck unloader and reloading. I did roofing, HUAC’s well helped on them. And a lot of other trades I picked up here and there. Lol
