Has anyone figured out how to do this when having the ROMs on an external HDD? It clearly states on his wiki that it doesn't work unless they are in the stock location. I really like the way I am setup right now and would rather not mess with it but manually scraping 10000 games with the emulationstation scraper will take years.

where does it say that? works for me. depends how you've mapped, i suppose, but if you followed https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/Running-ROMs-from-a-USB-drive it should work fine.

Ahh, I mounted it in the mnt as another folder and just redirected the es_systems to look there for the roms. I didn't even think to do it this way. thanks for the tip bud
