XBox wireless controller is connected, but not working
-
Hello,
I have Retropie installed on a Raspberry Pi 3B+. I am using a Xbox controller connected via bluetooth and a wireless keyboard. Xpadneo is installed and is up to date.
Now I want to connect another Xbox wireless controller. Its brand new and the Dpad looks a little bit different to the one I already have. Controller firmware is also up to date.
I am doing the connection process the same way I did with the other controller:
sudo bluetoothctl [bluetooth]# scan on [bluetooth]# connect <MAC> [bluetooth]# trust <MAC>
System says: "Connection is successful" and the controller is rumbling. But the LED is still flashing fast. After some time the LED is flashing slow and then i get "Connected: no"
Here is a picture of the connection process:
Here is the bluetooth info for the device:
Does anyone know why the controller is not connected properly? I am a little bit confused that the name of the device includes the MAC address. Is this new type of controller not supported by Xpadneo?
Best regards

Several other users are reporting the same issue on the github for xpadneo:
https://github.com/atar-axis/xpadneo/issues/259I paired the controller in windows and copied the link key to my raspberry pi as one of the users on github mentioned. Now the pairing works and I can use the controller. Now the Xbox-Button doesn't work as hotkey for both controllers anymore. But this might be an issue because of updating the whole system.
For getting the keys I followed these instructions:
