      Hello!)

I have experimented with MAME roms and downloaded all mame's cores from optional and experimental sections.

      (advance mame, ir-mame-2003, ir-mame-2010, ir-mame-2015, ir-mame-2016, ir-mame, mame)

So, when i started test my roms i often switch between them
and lost control in launching rom menu.

        • I've tried to change core for current rom, but after i choose core and press "ok", i returned at previous screen and it show previous core ( not i've selected). And now i can't change them

So, how i can fix it?

You should add some info about your setup, as detailed in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.

The associations between core and game/system is kept in /opt/retropie/configs/all/emulators.cfg - check if the file is readable/writeable by the pi user (assuming your using a Pi based system) and its contents are ok.

Looks like a corrupted line in the file. Remove anything from line 66 to the end of the file and it should be ok.

@mitu Oh, great, you was right! Thanks alot man!

Maybe also, to not copy \create new analogue themes, could you tell please what core need some arcade games, probably or maybe point me where it where was this discussed?

I want to run batmanforever, DOA++, MK4, TekkenTagTournament - all this games does not work on standart mamae2003 cores. ( They are loaded and start, but.... bad, so the romset is current)
Batman forever - start with warning, then black screen , only sound - mame2003plus
                  DOApp - started on mame 2015 - half speed\slow
                  Tekken - Mame2003 - slooow....

Or I should not expect something from games like this on RP4?

Depends on the game, but if it's a 3d or post 2000 arcade game, chances are it will not be fullspeed in any arcade emulators. I'm no familiar with the titles you posted - open a separate topic and post your system's specs and the exact rom names, maybe someone else has some experience with them.

@iga For Batman Forever you'll have best results with the Playstation port.

@iandaemon Yeah, i've already has it))
.... but anyway would be interesting to try arcade version too!

In general, it would be interesting to see some statistics to run "hard" arcade games on Pi4....
