Config tools/209-samba installs the service if you removed it previously
-
Hi there, again congratulations for keeping up such a great project.
Version: 4.7.3 - Last Commit: 6 days ago (e8251fdf)
System: rpi3 (armv7l) - running on Raspbian GNU/Linux 10 (buster)I'm using retropie original SD on a raspi3b and found out that if I previously removed my samba config and by mistake I enter in the samba menu item (in the configuration tools category) the samba service gets installed without prompting - could this be changed so we get the samba menu with options to install, etc?
Thanks!

How exactly did you remove the samba config ?
-
@mitu using the samba menu item for it
-
@retro81 I see. I'm not sure there's a way around it, since the configuration options work only if
samba
is installed. If you don't usesamba
, then it might be best to just disable the service. -
@mitu ok, it's a minor problem, if I click there and gets installed I just enter the menu again and hit remove samba components, you can close the topic if there's no easy fix :)
