Hi there, i just bought raspberry pi 4, 4gb version and installed latest retropie version in there but i noticed some reason amiberry emulator lagging very badly. Games running slow and sounds lag. I have tried to solve the problem trying new sdcard, another hdmi cable, another power supply, and change resolution/amiberry settings.

Before this i owned pi 3, model b+ version and there were no problems in running games :/

here is some vid of prob. https://streamable.com/197mce

I think the issue is the resolution, by default Pi4 starts 4k at 30hz, so you're looking at 30fps. Use raspi-config and set your video resolution (globally) to 1080p@60hz, this should be fine for bothe EmulationStation and emulation.

i tried change resolution manually (hdmi group 1, hdmi mode 16) before because some reason i cant change resolution from raspi config display option (resolution list not showing when select it)

@frozen That should work also, just remember to remove the comment marks (#) from the beginning of the line where the option is set in config.txt.

@mitu I’m having the same issue with Amiberry: slow performance, choppy sound. I followed your advice regarding the resolution, but it didn’t work. The issue exists with every single Amiga game I’ve tried.

I’m on 4GB Raspberry Pi 4. All the games are stored on an external USB.

Open a separate topic and add your system info, it doesn't seem to be the same issue.
