The "which games works" with Box86/Wine topic on the RetroPie RPI4/400

Sudden Strike 2 ... works.
-
Runaway 2: Dream of the Turtle works.
-
Fallout 1 works really well. Miles better than it does on Dosbox.
-
Heroes of might and magic 3
runs okay anyways ?
without freeze's -
@shavecat Im fairly certain I have seen others get heroes 3 up and running. I may test it myself if I have time since heroes 3 is such a good game. I do have the game running through the VCMI engine but the AI controlled opponents are very stupid so the game is not enjoyable

@quicksilver

but it freezes every time in different area..

at list for me :(Try to update your underlying box86, mesa and wine to the latest box86 0.2.1, mesa (20.3.4) and wine(v-6.1.-devel) installs.

The game I absolutely want to play on my Pi4 ... Thimbleweed Park .... sound only ... no display output. So this is hopeful.
Well I know this is off topic, but you can play it over LineAge 17.1. Yeah yeah....I know it is not Retropie but it is just a suggestion how to play it on your Pi4 :)
Also try the game "The Cave" by the same creator Ron Gilber and Double Fine Productions.

It has to be RetroPie :-) ... that's the charm!

Unavowed, works nicely.
-
A Golden Wake, another Point and Click adventure, seems to run excellent.
-
Broken Sword 3, The Sleeping Dragon, seems to work perfectly.
-
@mth75 is broken sword 3 worth playing? I played 1 & 2 last year, really enjoyed 1 but didn't think 2 was as good. And I've heard the series has a downward slope in quality?

as as good. And I'
It is, for a 3D game it's not that bad and actually quite beautiful . But 1 and 2 with the old fashioned point and click interface are the best.

Doom 3 BFG
According to Winehq Appdb it should be possible.
https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?/employee monitoring/sClass=version&iId=28227&iTestingId=78552
it doesn't work for me now, unfortunately :(

Has anybody had any luck with turn of the millenium RPGs like Arx Fatalis, Arcanum?
-
Runaway 3: a Twist of Fate seems to work.
