@shavecat Im fairly certain I have seen others get heroes 3 up and running. I may test it myself if I have time since heroes 3 is such a good game. I do have the game running through the VCMI engine but the AI controlled opponents are very stupid so the game is not enjoyable

Try to update your underlying box86, mesa and wine to the latest box86 0.2.1, mesa (20.3.4) and wine(v-6.1.-devel) installs.

Lamplight City, a 2018 point and click adventure game, works perfectly.

The game I absolutely want to play on my Pi4 ... Thimbleweed Park .... sound only ... no display output. So this is hopeful.

Well I know this is off topic, but you can play it over LineAge 17.1. Yeah yeah....I know it is not Retropie but it is just a suggestion how to play it on your Pi4 :)

Also try the game "The Cave" by the same creator Ron Gilber and Double Fine Productions.

A Golden Wake, another Point and Click adventure, seems to run excellent.

@mth75 is broken sword 3 worth playing? I played 1 & 2 last year, really enjoyed 1 but didn't think 2 was as good. And I've heard the series has a downward slope in quality?

It is, for a 3D game it's not that bad and actually quite beautiful . But 1 and 2 with the old fashioned point and click interface are the best.

According to Winehq Appdb it should be possible.

it doesn't work for me now, unfortunately :(

Arcanum works with the following parameters:

                                    wine Arcanum.exe -no3d -doublebuffer

I would suggest to just try to install the other game.

I got Heroes 3 running with the addition of the -no3d parameter. Fairly stable it seems.
