Error messages received: creating device failed org.bluez.Error.ConnectionAttemptFailed:page timeout

      Hello there!
I'm having some trouble booting into emulation station on start up. I have set it to run on boot but instead it boots into terminal. I have my screen working, but i'm also having trouble pairing my bluetooth wireless controller. Under bluetooth devices it shows up but it sends the error message above whenever i try each possiblity. I also wonder if it is possible to auto connect to my wiFi network when the pi is booted up so i don't have to keep running upstairs to directly plug it into my router? any help would be greatly appreciated! thank you!!

i got it to boot into emulation station at least! i just did a re-image on my sd card. but now i still can't get my bluetooth controller to be recognized. it's a small thumbstick with buttons called a Magicsee R1. i have no idea if i can even get this thing to work with retropie. i can see its mac address when i ssh in, but it won't let me pair it. it throws up that error message ablout bluez.. Has anyone had any success with one of these controllers? i appreciate any advice, thanks!
