      Can you post the /boot/config.txt file - the one that you modified and is not working ?

        @leoxmasa also note that

        hdmi_group=1
        hdmi_mode=31

        is for a 50hz 1080 mode. you instead likely want

        hdmi_group=1
        hdmi_mode=16

        which is 1080p60

        see https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/configuration/config-txt/video.md

          dtoverlay=RetroFlag_pw_io.dtbo
          enable_uart=1

          This one works (but in 4k). But when i try to do this:

          hdmi_group=1
          hdmi_mode=31

          or

          hdmi_group=2
          hdmi_mode=82

          or

          hdmi_group=1
          hdmi_mode=16

          I have black screen on reboot

                No black screen but still in 4k 30 fps (with group 1 mode 16) and the line you told me to add

                pi@retropie:~ $ tvservice -s
                state 0xa [HDMI CUSTOM RGB lim 16:9], 3840x2160 @ 30.00Hz, progressive

                edit: I have black border arround screen now ans i still have low fps

                      I guess you can tell the Pi to ignore the EDID info from the TV. Add these lines (make sure they're not commented):

                      hdmi_ignore_edid=0xa5000080
                      hdmi_group=1

                          That't strange. Are you using the image from retropie.org.uk/download ?

                            for my install:

                            • I used raspery pi imager (to download the last version)

                            • I'm booting on SSD USB

                            • I've installed safe shutdown script for my nespi case

                            Actually in my hardware installation i have the R4 connected to my denon amp, connected to my tv. (it work for all my other devices (ps5 switch et PC)

                              I have found a way. I # everything, connecte my raspberry to a no-4k port of my amp audio , and now it show

                              state 0xa [HDMI CUSTOM RGB lim 16:9], 1920x1080 @ 50.00Hz, progressive

                              It's seems retropie doesn't like my Audio Amp.

                              i there anyway to remove the border aound ? :)

                                @leoxmasa Yes, add disable_overscan=1 to config.txt - see https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Overscan/.
