ExperimentalPi SDL Window error and Otter issues..

Hello there,

I just got my experimental pi. Unfortunatelly i can‘t get retropi working with my RPI3.
When booting i get some

Error creating SDL window
Rederer failed to initialize
Window failed to initialize

I already tried reboot and relogg into retropi. It got realy frustrating. 😩

@x20011 You have to talk to the Experimental Pi's author(s), we don't support 3rd party images. Use the image from retropie.org.uk/download and we can provide support.

I have the same issue than you. Did you find any way to solve it ? I'll have a look on experimentalpi website and let you know if I find something.

I can't say since I'm not very familiar with it - but probably not out-of-the-box.

@x20011I got that message the first time I tried to install desktop, pixel or the raspberry OS or whatever you want to call it, from retropie.
Fixed by re-burning the retopie image, Installing the Safe Shutdown and OSD Software on the PiBoy DMG.
After this I installed pixel and it worked.
But all this in my model 4.
