Overclock Raspberry Pi 4
-
Guys im still learning about Pi.
Already i have nice console with NES,SNES,MegaDrive and PSX games. What other systems can run smoothly on Pi4 ?
N64, Saturn, Dreamcast ?What about atari800 or amiga. I need keybord and mouse to set up thats sytems ?
Already i used my laptop with windows only. Moving roms via Wifi and WinSCP program. My question is whats the easiest way to overclock Pi4 with my equipment.
Its possible to overclock Pi4 only with laptop (windows) or i must install some linux system on my laptop to do that ?I read about CommanderPi program and it looks nice. I can overclock, check free space on SD etc.
But to be honest i don know how to use it. I can operate it via Windows ?I can buy usb keyboard and mouse if it be necessary.
Im really happy with my first Pi construct but i have big and endless homework to do :) -
@retrus some n64 games run great on the Pi4. Dreamcast runs great too. Unsure about the Saturn. From my understanding all you need to do to overclock your Pi is put the SD card with your image already installed in your laptop/PC and tweak one of the files. Can be done using windows. I believe there's a way of doing it directly on the Pi using a keyboard and using the Command console thing but haven't attempted that yet. Good luck!

The underlying Linux operating system that RetroPie runs on top of is intrinsically multiuser.
You only need a free TeleTYpe program (I recomment putty for Windows) to gain access from your laptop in the same way as WinSCP does to move files.Username pi - Password raspberry
The pi user does NOT have administrator rights, but the 'run as super user' keyword "sudo" can be used in front of any commands that needs them (no admin password required).Make the terminal window as big as you need and use the nano editor to change configurations.
bye.
