I've been trying to emulate n64 games, but nothing happens when I launch them. There isn't any noticeable difference between launching n64 games and other games on my pie. They have the same screen and everything. the only difference is that n64 games don't launch. What do you think is wrong, internet?

What N64 emulator are you using ? What format are the ROMs (filename, extension) ? -
So all I have is a raspberry pie with retropie on it. I have a USB-flavored SNES controller and a USB pro controller for the Nintendo switch. The file type I downloaded was a .z64. I tried using each type of emulator for the n64 that is on my pie, but it didn't work.
