after starting the Retropie with my arcade buttons i put some roms on it and restart it again.i config the player1 buttons on the Entry Menu (Start/ Configure Input).
also the player2 did i config like this.
In es Emulation works all fine with both player (can change side, can go to config and can go back)After that i go to the Retropie Menu and there to the Retroarch to Bind Player1&2 and also Enable Hotkey on my select button.
When i start now a arcade game i can put some coins with the select button of player 1&2 also i can start the game with the startbutton of player1&2. But when the game start i can only play with the player1, the player2 doenst move or react on any input of the buttons.

[..]
also the player2 did i config like this.
Since the controllers share the same name, only 1 should be configured, the other would be automatically configured also. Configuring the other controller would only overwrite their - shared - configuration.
In es Emulation works all fine with both player (can change side, can go to config and can go back)
After that i go to the Retropie Menu and there to the Retroarch to Bind Player1&2 and also Enable Hotkey on my select button.This shouldn't be necessary, the input configuration in EmulationStation asks you if you want to use Select as Hotkey, if you don't choose one. Also, the P2 should also be automatically configured - if detected - by RetroArch using the configuration produced by EmulationStation.
When i start now a arcade game i can put some coins with the select button of player 1&2 also i can start the game with the startbutton of player1&2. But when the game start i can only play with the player1, the player2 doenst move or react on any input of the buttons.
When starting RetroArch, does it show it detects 2 controllers ? Is the 2nd player working in other systems, outside the
arcade
system ? What arcade emulator are you using ? -
@mitu
Tnaks for your replay.On Retroarch it show me Dragonrise #0 and #1. So i can config the input of player 1&2.
I Don't know if they work in other system, because i wan't only player 5-10 Arcade Games.my Emulator is FinalBurnNeo (lr-fbneo)

What game/games are you trying to run ? Some arcade games have separate coin buttons for the 2nd player and you may need to enter credits for the 2nd player to be able to join.

@mitu

also i can only exit then with the player1 -
@yves1984 said in player 2 will not work in arcade:
in the game i can at start put some coin with player1&2 and also can start with the startbutton of player2. But when the game then start the player2 doen's work.
I think that 1942 as a 2 player game works by alternating P1 and P2, the players don't play simultaneously.
also i can only exit then with the player1
That's normal - only P1 has access to the Hotkey enabled functions, including exiting the emulator.

@mitu
