Amiga WHDLoad Amiberry - Black Screens
-
Pi Model or other hardware: Raspberry Pi 4 4GB
Power Supply used: Official Raspberry Pi Version
RetroPie Version Used (eg 3.6, 3.8.1, 4.1 - do not write latest): 4.7.1
Built From: Pre made SD Image on RetroPie website: retropie-buster-4.7.1-rpi4_400.img.gz
USB Devices connected: Logitech F310 Gamepad and Logitech K400 Plus Wireless
Controller used: Logitech F310 Gamepad
Error messages received: Blank Screen
Verbose log (if relevant):
Guide used: https://github.com/midwan/amiberry/wiki/Using-Amiberry-with-RetroPie---Installation-and-Setup
File: (File with issue - with FULL path)
Emulator: Amiberry - Installed from binaryOK, so I have installed Amiberry from binary then copied the three Kickstart files into the bios folder (having checked the CRC values are correct first)
Then in '\retropie\roms\amiga' I have dropped MonkeyIsland.lha which I got from the Lemon Amiga site. I have tried lots of other games and get the same results.
I then went in to the RetroPie configuration menu and reset the permissions as the guide suggested.
On every game I try, the WHDLoad starts, then as the game starts I just get a blank screen.
Following this I just get a blank screen. If I exit out, and try and load the game again, I get the Amiberry Logo, then the blank screen again.
Please let me know if you need anything else.
Many thanks
Peter

@jonesyp hi. The fact you see the autobooter screen for that game is not good. Have you changed the
.lha
filename? If so please do not change it as the emulator needs it to properly identify the game in order to apply settings. For Monkey Island the proper name would beSecretOfMonkeyIsland_v3.6_1625.lha
orSecretOfMonkeyIsland_v3.6_Fr_1750.lha
for instance for the french release.Do you rely on KMS also? If you don't know then you probably don't :-)

@nemo93 Many thanks for the reply. I found the site I was using has 'empty' WHDLoad. I switched to another source (I won't post it here), but now working fine. Many thanks.
