Controller Issues - Buttons Inop, Controls change
-
Hello everyone!
Extremely green in the gills here, searching for options but am pretty lost.
I picked up a Vilros Pi 4 kit to use with VMAN's 512gb image. Consensus seems to be that one shouldn't use a prebuilt image, but I figured I couldn't go wrong with what was seemingly regarded as one of the best. And, so far so good!
Aside from a couple small issues.
When assigning controls via EmulationStation, the system will not recognize the L2 and R2 buttons. No response, as if a button isnt even being pressed. I tried with two different controllers plugged into two different ports with the same result. Can anyone shed some light on what may be the cause?
Second issue, I also grabbed some USB wired N64 controllers. These have no problem with assignments in EmulationStation, however upon launching a game on the N64 platform (i believe it uses Libreto Mupen64?) the controls get completely lost. Buttons are swapped and some simply aren't even mapped. It gets mapped in such a way that I can't even access menus to try and reassign. Not sure why it does this or how to fix it? I would assume this emulator should still retain the global button assignments from initial boot in EmulationStation. Any ideas?
I'm also finding some resolution bugs within some games on N64 but I cannot gain access to the menu due to the above controller issues.
Would love any help! Thank you!
