    Pi Model or other hardware: (B, B+, 2 B, 3, X86 PC etc..) Pi4
    Power Supply used: (If using a Pi) Original Pi
    RetroPie Version Used (eg 3.6, 3.8.1, 4.1 - do not write latest): 4.7.13
    Built From: (Pre made SD Image on RetroPie website, Berryboot, or on top of existing OS etc.. - please provide the filename of any image used) original retropie image from website
    USB Devices connected: Keyboard and mouse
    Controller used: 8bitdo Pro 2 controller
    Error messages received: Dos error 103 Not enough memory
    File: (File with issue - with FULL path) Speedball2_v2.3_CD32.lha
    Emulator: (Name of emulator - if applicable) Amiberry 3.3
    How to replicate the problem: Boot Speedball 2 CD32 2.3 from retropie menu

    Hi

    I recently bought an 8bitdo Pro 2 controller which was not connecting to my retropie 4.7.13 bluetooth on a Pi4.
    I basically backed up my BIOS , configs and ROMS folder then wiped the sdcard and performed a complete reinstall of retropie from scratch.
    Copied back folders and all booted ok.
    I am using Amiberry 3.3 at the moment. My main issue is now I am booting Speedball 2 CD32 2.3 version and an error appears as below screenshot

    Speedball2error.jpg

    I do not have the issue loading the standard PAL Speedball 2 version and I never had this issue until I reloaded my retropie image.

    Do I need to remove the whdload xml file or the amiberry.conf and reboot?
    Or is it an amiberry config issue or BIOS issue?

    Regards

    Jimi

      @jimi007 Have you tried changing the amount of RAM available to the emulated Amiga? Try 2MB Chip 8MB Z2 Fast. Save a game profile to be able to use it.

      I would also look out for an ISO & MP3 version of the game since the WHDLoad version will be missing some of the in game music. No need to rush though as CD music is currently broken on Amiberry. Alternatively although the graphics are not as good the A500 version has superior music IMO.

      Currently running:
      Retropie 4.8.9 on a Pi Zero 2W (Overclock Settings: CPU 1400Mhz)
      ES-DE on a GMKtec K6 (Windows 11, 32GB RAM)

        @george-spiggott Hi George

        Thanks I have run the a500 version and that is working fine.
        Deleting the amiberry.conf and whdload.xml seemed to fix the cd32 dos 103 issue.
        Although after a 2nd reboot and redownloading the xml file the issue appeared to return.
        Maybe something in the xml file forces it to use a different amiga setup for cd32.
        I will try and change the xml cd32 settings to your suggestion (2MB chip 8MB Z2 Fast) if that is possible and give it another test.
        Back to some speedball 2 (love this game)

        regards

        Jimi

          @jimi007 @George-Spiggott hi! I have to confess I never gave a look at the "CD32 in lha" packages. I either prefer the CD/ISO version (for games with CDDA) or if there's an alternative the A500/A1200. That's why the xml won't have optimized settings for such packages. They haven't been tested. In the case of Speedball2_v2.3_CD32.lha there's no extra memory added indeed hence the issue you're seeing. If you got me the settings I'm fine updating the xml.

          Yet Speedball 2 truly best version is on... A500 ;-)

            @nemo93 Hi I will see if I can test some settings out and if I can get it working I'll pass across the settings.

              @nemo93 The following settings seem to work
              PRIMARY_CONTROL=JOYSTICK
              PORT0=CD32
              PORT1=CD32
              FAST_COPPER=FALSE
              JIT=FALSE
              CHIPSET=AGA
              FAST_RAM=2
              Z3_RAM=16
              SCREEN_AUTOHEIGHT=TRUE
              SCREEN_CENTERH=SMART
              SCREEN_CENTERV=SMART

                @jimi007 said in Speedball 2 CD32 DOS error 103 not enough memory:

                Z3_RAM=16

                Thanks @Jimi007. I've merged the change and added more Z3. On the next xml update (usually end of week) it should be taken into account.
