Neo-Geo Battle Coliseum (Atomiswave)
-
Running Retropie 4 arcade cabinet. Anyone able to get Neo-Geo Battle Coliseum to run on Atomiswave? When I try to run the rom I only get a gray screen. Or a way to convert to Dreamcast maybe? Kind of surprised this isn't on the actual Neo Geo at all.

you need the correct rom

also check if you have the bios

@kounabi22 My other Atomiswave games play just fine, so I know it's working. It's just this one game. My rom files match yours, besides the file size being 208 megs.
I noticed it's in your arcade directory though. Are you using Mame or Atomiswave? A lot of sites have the game working on the PC Mame, but I'm on a Retropie.

i run in retropie i put them in arcade folder because i manual add the flycast as an option in the loading rom menu.
if neogeo battle was running well the first time you load it then try and delete the 2 vram files of the game as it show in my pic above.
Then it runs well ,after that make a save game when it loads and make the retroarch to auto load save files.
Then everytime you load the game it will pass the grey freeze screen. -
@drdave79 You need to use lr-flycast to run Atomiswave games on RetroPie. My working copy of ngbc.zip is 218.1 MB in size. Check that you have the right version from a newer MAME rom set.
You can run Atomiswave and Naomi games from the arcade folder by adding lr-flycast as an Arcade core: https://www.reddit.com/r/RetroPie/comments/f04z8l/how_to_add_lrflycast_as_an_arcade_emulator/
Some Atomiswave games have an issue in lr-flycast where the nvram gets corrupted after the first launch. Delete the nvram and nvram2 files for the game and try running it again. That should fix your problem. In my experience it happens mostly with Metal Slug 6 and Samurai Shodown 6.
There are Dreamcast conversions available for (almost) all Atomiswave games. We can't link to them here, but they're easy to find in a google search. These conversions will work in lr-flycast and in up-to-date Redream.

@g30ff I am using LR-FLYCAST already so thank you. And deleting the vram files did the job! It's still a bit choppy, but still plays ok. Thank you both!
