      Everyone here has been so helpful -- I'm hoping y'all can point me in the right direction one more time...

      I have The Bard's Tale running under VICE just fine. My ROMs are in a .zip called bards-tale-c64.d64.zip.

      I added my metadata and...when I reboot, the metadata goes away.

      Every other ROM maintains its metadata across reboots.

      I've tried:

      • Scraping with EmulationStation

      • Manually entering metadata through the EmulationStation interface

      • Manually creating a gamelist.xml and putting it in /home/pi/.emulationstation/gamelists/c64/

      • Manually creating a gamelist.xml and putting it in /home/pi/retropie/roms/c64/

      No matter what I do, the metadata vanishes upon reboot. Only for this particular game. What the heck and I doing wrong...and what do I need to do right?

        @billydent

        Try dumping the .d64 part and just go with bards_tale_c64.zip. I've had a similar problem with Spitfire 40. No matter what I did, it would not show.

        Try that and see what happens.
