32x Game Titles showing rom symbols after scraping
-
So my retropie is setup with genesis, NES, SNES and 32X. On all but the 32X list, the roms have properly formatted titles and all scraped info including videos, screens, box art etc. However, on the 32X list, all the games have their art, videos and mnetadata, but all the titles are including the rom symbols from the files. The [U], [!] stuff. Isn't the scraper supposed to replace all that with a plain title when it generates the game list? I used SkyScraper for everything and did the scrape followed by game list generation.

Are you running SS through the setup script or from the command-line? If script, do you have
generate options >> remove bracket info (enabled)
? (This is global, but maybe if 32x is the only system you've scraped since it changed or something.)Beyond that, the contents of your
/home/pi/.skyscraper/config.ini
file might shed some light on what's happening. You can post it here if you can't make sense of it.``` Use code blocks (start and end with three backticks on a new line) so special symbols aren't interpreted as formatting. _*[{}]*_ Or upload it to (edit:spelling) pastebin.com if it's very long. ```

@devsfan1830 Also, when you've toggled
remove bracket info
, remember to regenerate the gamelists afterwards. The change doesn't take effect until you do. :) -

Yep toggling that option on solved it. Thanks!
