    Hi,
    retropie V - 4.7.19
    raspberry pi 4

I installed retropie on 32gb sd card.
    I also installed some emulations.
when running ES, I can find retropie "options" menu among other installed emulation consoles.

later I used an external usb hard drive which contains roms under retropie-mount\roms\ different roms per console.

When enabling USB ROM service and plugin in external 500GB usb drive, I run retropie, and I can see all the console and games, without the retropie "options" settings menu.

When I unplug External hard drive, I can see the options settings again.

I have no idea how to fix this so I can see the options also when the external Hard drive is plugged in

The RetroPie Menu items are held in a different location than the roms. They are in RetroPie/retropiemenu instead of RetroPie/roms. If your external USB is mounted "over" the RetroPie folder, to the point where the system only sees the external "as" the folder and doesn't see the "real" folder underneath, then it won't see the menu folder inside the real folder underneath.

If you copy /RetroPie/retropiemenu to your external USB, does the menu work again?

Thanks! I copied the RetroPie/retropiemenu into the HD at retropie-mount. now it works!
