LXDE closes after 5 seconds if I boot to GUI
-
Hi everyone,
first day with RetroPie!! I 've just installed RetroPie 4.0.2 (using the image I downloaded from Retropie.uk) in my Raspberry pi 2B. Then I use raspi-tools to install LXDE. Everything went fine but if I select from raspi-config to boot directly to the GUI, it closes after 5 seconds to prompt. The LXDE simply closes itself. It doesn´t happend if I boot to console and the start LXDE using startx. Some advice, thanks. -
@saezj try disabling the splashscreen. Also are you using raspi-config or the autostart options from the setup script? @BuZz I can confirm this when I installed lxde in passing just with the setup script install, is it possible the command line calls from the setup script for raspi-config in the script are causing it? I manually changed them in raspi-config and I think that resolved it, I'd need to do more testing though to verify.

@herb_fargus , I need to talk to you about something important and off topic. I did not see a way to message you directly. Please message me, or send email roger@bartop-arcade.com

After I disabled the splashscreen the problem was solved. I tried both option autostart from raspi-config and the retropie-setup. The problem was the splashscreen. Thanks.
