      I am experiencing a problem installing optional packages - e.g. Amiberry and SCUMM to name a few. I have a clean install of RetroPie 4.7.1 with wifi enabled and working.

      I can copy ROMS to and from the unit over Wifi and SSH is enabled.

      Whenever I try to install a package I get an error: "Could not install package(s): libmpeg2-4-dev libmpg123-dev libflac-dev libxml2-dev libsdl2-image-dev libsdl2-ttf-dev"

      It appears that the system can't find the files needed to install online and on closer inspection these specific files are indeed missing in the online servers at raspbian.raspberrypi.org.

      Any help or advice on how to otherwise install e.g. Amiberry would be most appreciated.

      System specs:
      Pi Model or other hardware: Pi3
      Power Supply used: USB charger with plenty of watts
      RetroPie Version Used: 4.7.1
      Built From: RetroPie image taken straight from RetroPie homepage.
      USB Devices connected: 2x controllers + keyboard
      Controller used: Retro nintendo style
      Error messages received: See above
      Verbose log (if relevant): See above
      Guide used: (Mention if you followed a guide) - RetroPie UK guide
      Emulator: (Name of emulator - if applicable) - Amiberry, Scumm installation process

      How to replicate the problem: Use standard Retro Config menu to install optional packages directly after launching RetroPie for first time and enabling Wifi.

        @quasimaddboy first you should update from the main menu as your package lists are out of date. This will also update RetroPie-Setup.

          @buzz Thanks - which specific update is this from the main menu - core packages and/or main packages?

            @quasimaddboy neither. They mean the script itself. From the main menu (not the "manage packages" submenu), choose Update (updates the setup script and all installed packages) or Update RetroPie-Setup script (does what it says on the tin, updates just the setup script but not the underlying packages. The first one takes a lot longer.)
