How to enable shaders on N64
-
I installed retropie on my raspberry Pi 4 and am playing SNES and N64.
In NES and SNES, you can select shaders to enjoy screen effects, but
However, when I try to select a shader on the N64, only the folder is displayed and I cannot select a shader.
How can I use shaders on the N64? -
@yamanobe Please do not post a support request without first reading and following the advice in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first
Which emulator? How are you trying to apply the shader? Please provide some more details.

Sorry, I shouldn't have left out any unnecessary information.
I installed lr-mupen64 because retropie only allows installation of lr-mupen64 or mupen64.
Start the game ROM and launch the retroarch settings screen with hotkey+X button
I selected the shader item.
I then selected load.
I see a large number of shaders there in SNES and NES.
N64 doesn't show anything there. -
The shaders are common for all RetroArch/Libretro emulators.
If you don't see any shader presets for the
n64
system, you either changed the configuration for that system or modified the video driver for the default (gl
).
A verbose log should provide more diagnostic info, get one from running thelr-mupen64plus
libretro core and post it on pastebin.com to take a look. -
@mitu
Thank you!
I don't know why it was Glcore. I changed it to Gl as you suggested and the shaders are now enabled!
Thanks so much for the help!
