@clyde Should do it... but for my own setup: Can you send me your source(s) for the 1st one?
      Querying my usual suspects:
      https://www.arcade-museum.com/game_detail.php?game_id=9447
      -> https://flyers.arcade-museum.com/?page=flyer&db=videodb&id=944&image=2
      and
      http://adb.arcadeitalia.net/media/mame.current/artworks_previews/scramble.png?release=199

I am inclined to say, personel I would srtrip the left/right borders so that the shoulder of the alien fighter on the right one is matching the displays borders and the gun should protrude (including a black bar between bezel and game screen) a bit into the screen.... Just personal taste, so if you can spare the sources, no need to change it in the repo ;)

        Done off-site.

          Last Duel

          Screenshot

I had to move the buggy, the info box, and the landscape under them up a little, so that they'd fit on the screen completely. I have to say that I'm quite happy with the result (see the original for comparison). I'm getting better at GIMP-Fu with every overlay. 😌

Fun fact: The game's full name is Last Duel: Inter Planet War 2012. I guess 2012 sounded very futuristic in its release year 1988. πŸ˜„ However, it takes place in another galaxy, so the terrestrial year shouldn't matter anyway. πŸ˜‰

Great @Clyde ! I've also replaced Varth bezel with a new one with the artwork used in real Varth cabinets. Credit goes to ArsInvictus from the MameWorld forums for sharing this one!

@svera Just saw that you added kingofb, gaplus, darius, truxton, and a new design for 19xx over the last couple of months. Thanks!

@buzztea Can't speak for svera, but as i see it we all droped in by ourselfs and as long as you provide the necessary files within a pull request (1600x1200, 1024x768 image together with the config files) I don't see a problem why you can't join/contribute - in fact, feel welcome if you can provide some new bezels ;)

@svera There was some discussion about parent/clone naming sheme already and some other, minor topics about the git repo, and i am not even sure how such a thing could/should be formulated/f*-manualed2bR, but in the long run there may be the need for a +-~ how2contribute&|styleguide for the repo .?.

@ashpool @buzztea of course, repository is open to contributions. It is a good idea actually to create a contributions page listing all requirements, I'll do whenever I have time.

@svera I just noticed your changes to the 1941 CA bezels in January. I have to say that I prefer the old ones, because they are much nicer looking and much more informative. The new ones, although being the originals, are far more bland and tell nothing about the game and its controls.

I know this is a matter of personal preference, so this is only meant as constructive feedback, and one idea: How about an "alt" version to have both bezel sets available?

Thanks for your ongoing good work.

@clyde sure, honestly I thought about that before, and in the end is just a matter of taste, so having both alternatives is the best option

@Clyde restored back the alternative versions of both 1941 and Varth bezels.
