Main Configuration Menu

I am very new to Retropie and game emulation. I have gone through posts and numerous videos, and I seem to be being very thick.
I am trying to get back from Retropie Emulation Screen to the configuration setting for bluetooth. I have watched videos and they seem to switch to a screen showing a joystick on right and a list on the left, I remember seeing this when I first plugged in my Raspberrypi 4, but after numerous button presses I can't get to this menu..help
