Does lr-vice support the C64 Super CPU?

That's it. That's the question.

@dankcushions Cheers. But where is system/vice? Is that what we'd normally call /home/pi/RetroPie/BIOS/vice?

Hmm. I've put all the required files mentioned on that page in /home/pi/RetroPie/BIOS/vice and /home/pi/RetroPie/BIOS/vice/SCPU64 respectively, but lr-vice isn't offering me any of those core options. I have Advanced Options set to On.

@jimmyfromthebay
i don't use the system but a verbose log should show if it's finding the bios or not, and where it's looking -

I think the upstream libretro
vice
core supports it, but it needs to be built as a separate core and included, since it's a different machine type. Right now is not available in the RetroPie libretro cores from thelr-vice
package.You can use the standalone
vice
emulator and test if you wish, but you'll need to add it as an emulator option inemulators.cfg
. The binary is namexscpu64
, you'll need to add similar entry for it like for the othervice
based entries. -
@mitu Hmm, that booted up with a Super CPU bootscreen, but then just did the same as running in lr-vice (testing it with Metal Dust, which goes through the intro then gets to an options screen then just dumps you back to the C64 OS when you hit Return to start the game, whichever options you choose).
