      Hi,

      Has anyone tried Lr-Gearcoleco? see:

      https://github.com/drhelius/Gearcoleco

      https://docs.libretro.com/library/gearcoleco/

They say it works on Pi.

@dteam I just gave it a try, it seems SGM games aren't launching, neither the eeprom games (boxxle, black onyx), so i suppose it has about the same compatibility as bluemsx.

          @Folly

Hi Folly, is it a big thing to create a script to install lr-gearcoleco? I would like to test it but I don't know how.

          Thanks

It works very well and this script works well also (thanks @ExarKunIv for sharing). It doesn't work with the fbneo romset. You need No-intro roms or others.

I prefer fbneo for its versatility with SGM, Homebrew and Coleco Adam.

However, for standard ColecoVision games, I cannot say whether fbneo is better or not.

I think lr-gearcoleco might be an emulator option in Retropie Setup.

Is there any advantage over the existing Colecovision emulators that would make it worth while adding it ?

Saves states seems to be more stable than Blue MSX. Better controller setup than BlueMSX (major point here).
It runs No Intro romset, what Fbneo doesn't.

                      They say :
Accurate Z80 core, including undocumented opcodes and behavior like R and MEMPTR registers.
                      Accurate TMS9918 emulation.
Sound emulation using a fine tuned Sms_Snd_Emu library.

At the end, I prefer Fbneo (but only fbneo romset can be used) and Lr-Gearcoleco is better than BlueMSX in my opinion.

Maybe a longer testing period is needed, but it could be in the experimental section for now.
