      Hi all,

Just got my raspberry pie and installed retro pie image on to an SD card. Not tried any ROM's yet as I wanted to try Kodi first. I couldn't find it in the experimental packages (apparently its now in optional packages, but I did not see it) so thought I would update it in case that showed it as an option.

So, I went to update installed packages (I think) and it is still going 4 hours later.

Can anyone tell me how long it usually takes?

If youve just started with the image, I'd stop the update and write it again - Kodi is there (the lists arent alphabetical so scan through the full list) so no need to update.

If you do want to update (there is rarely a need), use the binary update, not the update from source option which it sounds like you may have done.

Please read the Docs before asking a new question.
