The package is downloaded from redream.io, which seems to have connectivity problems at the moment, so the package download/query hangs.

@hhromic thank you, I will tell him. He is currently trying to make an "earthbound" theme resource pack for solarus, then wants to do 2 player co-op. Hopefully someone on Discord can help him out!

For anyone who may come across this same problem, to solve it I had to set everything up how I needed it including BIOS roms configurations, and only once I was happy did I run all of the updates and all appears to be working normally again now

@pjft yes, but once it freezes you can't do anything. I had it happen to me and once you get stuck on the same update line for a long time, nothing brings you back. You have to interrupt it before it freezes.

@x5PUDx If you already have the latest Retropie version build, then doing an update using "update all installed packages" should not mess up anything.

If youve just started with the image, I'd stop the update and write it again - Kodi is there (the lists arent alphabetical so scan through the full list) so no need to update.

If you do want to update (there is rarely a need), use the binary update, not the update from source option which it sounds like you may have done.
